Yuri Klymenko's wards yesterday in their first match in Group B defeated the tournament hosts, Italy (4:2), and immediately secured a place in the semifinals of the tournament. So today's match against the best-ranked team in the world according to BSWW, Spain, only determined the final standings in our trio.

The match was played in tough competition, and for every goal scored by the Ukrainians, the Spaniards replied with two goals. Goals on their scorecard for the blue-and-yellow team were recorded by Iryna Kostyuk and Iryna Dubitska.  

So 2:4 — a loss for Ukraine's national team, which secured second place in Group B. Our team's semifinal opponent will be Portugal.
