Today in Viareggio, Italy, the Ukrainian men's beach soccer team played their final match in the group stage of the EuroLeague-2025 Super Final.

After defeating Switzerland (5:4) and losing to Spain (4:5), they faced a decisive match against Denmark in Group B. 

The start of the first period was not favorable for the blue-and-yellow team. On the 4th minute, they conceded two goals—Berttram Jensen and Gustav Madsen scored. Our team managed to score one goal on the 9th minute—Anton Ross.  

In the second twelve-minute period, both teams engaged in a real shootout. The Danes scored two goals each by Madsen and Laurits Stubgaard. On our side, Andriy Nerusch (twice), Anton Ross, and Maxim Voytok scored four goals—5:4.

The third period continued the pattern of the second one. Initially, Andriy Potapov increased Ukraine's lead to two goals. However, opponents equalized the score within 20 seconds (Axel Damm and Karl Veggebreg scored). Thus, it was 6:6—going into overtime.

In the extra time, no goals were seen by spectators, and the winner was decided in a penalty shootout. Ukraine emerged stronger—6:5. After Spain's victory over Switzerland, our team advanced to the semifinals where they will face Italy.
