Today in Viareggio, Italy, the men's national beach soccer team of Ukraine played their second match at the most important tournament of the season — the EuroLeague-2025 Superfinal.

After defeating Switzerland (5:4) under coach Mykola Kostenko, they faced their toughest opponent in Group B — Spain.

The start of the first period was shocking for the blue and yellow team. Within one minute, Brian scored a double goal, giving his team an early lead. However, the Ukrainians rallied and prevented the opposition from extending their advantage further. They even had at least two chances to score in response.

As in the first period, the start of the second period was disappointing for our team. On the 13th minute, David Ardiel extended the lead to 3-0. Despite this, the Ukrainians managed to break through with a goal from Oleksandr Samoylenko's powerful shot from a set play. A minute later, Antoni was penalized near his own goal and Ukraine received a penalty kick. Denis Yarmak converted it for his first international goal. Just 20 seconds before the end of the period, Serhiy Maximets equalized with an error by the Spanish goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Yarmak scored another goal to put Ukraine ahead — 4-3.

However, in the third quarter, Spain's efforts paid off as David Ardiel tied it up again at 4-4, and then Batís put them back in front with a bicycle kick.

So, the final score was 5-4 — Ukraine lost.
