The head coach of Ukraine's women's beach soccer team, Yuriy Klimenko, outlined the blue-and-yellow team's goals for the EuroLeague Superfinal in 2025 and spoke about their preparation for it.

"We departed to Italy by bus on September 5th along with the men's national team. In Viareggio, we were joined by Teresh, Dubitska, and Skibina, who play in Spain and Portugal leagues. A newcomer is joining us — Lilya Yuzvenko has been called up to the national squad for the first time. We saw her last year before Neom Cup (Tournament in Saudi Arabia — note). This season, she was also at training camps ahead of EuroLeague Superfinal selection games in Spain. Lilya played very well in Kiev and Ukraine championships and proved that she deserves a spot on the national team.

In addition, after a two-year break, Hanna Shulga has returned to the squad. She underwent knee surgery earlier this year but is now fully recovered and completed her summer training period on sand. Hanna is now fully preparing for the EuroLeague finals.

As for our opponents, we were not pleased with the draw again. We have drawn Spain and Italy. The Spaniards are currently the strongest in the world plus the hosts, who will certainly set high goals for themselves at home. But we also aim to reach the semifinals and win EuroLeague medals," — said Yuriy Klimenko.

Recall that the matches will take place from September 9th to 14th in Viareggio, Italy. Earlier, Ukraine's women's national beach soccer team announced their squad for the most important tournament of the season.
