The football philosophy of one of Europe's most successful clubs is now in Zakarpattia. The Ukrainian Football Association, together with regional partners, conducts a series of seminars in regions where local coaches are familiarizing themselves with the methodology of the "Manchester City" academy.

The Zakarpattia region became the 11th to host a seminar taking into account European experience in youth training. The main focus is on changing the mindset of coaches. The main result should be not victories, medals, and trophies but the development of children and progress of young footballers. This is exactly the philosophy of the academy of the English football club "Manchester City," which is shared by the philosophy of the UAF.

The seminar in Uzhhorod was rich. It consisted of two theoretical blocks and one practical one. After each part of the lessons — question-answer blocks for direct communication with coaches.

More than 70 instructors from children's schools, clubs, and the region's academies participated in the event. Each took something away from the lessons. This could be seen by speaking with Viktor Kachur, deputy head of Zakarpattia Football Association, chairman of the youth committee of ZAF, as well as a dozen present experts. Everyone noted the usefulness of the event, the acquisition of new information. The audience and their attitude to the seminar were satisfied in the UAF. In particular, Bogdan Gorodnyuk, director of the Department of Development of Football at the Ukrainian Football Association, highlighted the audience and its attitude towards the seminar.

The event aimed not only to familiarize the attendees with the philosophy of "Manchester City" but also to communicate with coaches, get information about the state of affairs in youth football directly from them, and improve communication with instructors. The Ukrainian Football Association plans further visits to other European clubs, acquiring new experience and spreading it across Ukraine.
