Euro 2026 (U-19): Ukraine Learned Their Opponents in the Elite Round of Qualification

Today, on December 10, the draw for the elite round of qualification for the Euro-2026 under-19 tournament took place, in which Ukraine's national team (players born in 2007 or later) participated. Dmitry Mykhaylenko's team, which secured first place in their qualifying round group, was placed in the first pot before the draw.

Today, on December 10, the draw for the elite round of qualification for the UEFA Euro 2026 among under-19 teams took place, in which Ukraine's team (players born no later than 2007) participated.

Dmitry Mykhaylenko's team, which secured first place in their qualification round group, was placed in the first pot before the draw. As a result of the draw, Ukraine ended up in Group 5, where they will face teams from Romania, Kazakhstan, and Northern Ireland.

Group 1: Germany, Austria, Greece, Sweden. 

Group 2: England, Portugal, Poland, Serbia.

Group 3: Croatia, France, Norway, Switzerland.

Group 4: Czech Republic, Denmark, Belgium, Latvia.

Group 5: Ukraine, Romania, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland.

Group 6: Italy, Turkey, Slovakia, Hungary.

Group 7: Spain, Netherlands, Finland, Slovenia.

Matches in the seven groups will take place from March 23 to 31, 2026. The winners of the elite round groups will join the host nation, Wales, in the final stage, which will be held from June 28 to July 11.

The draw for the final tournament is scheduled for April 16, 2026.
