December 10 will see the draw for the elite round of qualification for the Euro-2026 under-19 tournament, in which Ukraine's team (players born no later than 2007) will participate. The ceremony starts at 12:30 PM Kyiv time.

As a reminder, coach Dmitro Mykhaylenko’s wards secured first place in their qualification round group. Before the elite round draw, the blue-and-yellow team qualified for the first pot.

In the elite round, 27 teams that emerged from the qualifying round will join top-seeded Spain, which enters the competition at this stage. Matches in seven groups will take place from March 23 to 31, 2026.

Winners of the elite round groups will join hosts Wales in the final stage, which will run from June 28 to July 11.

Elite Round Draw Procedure for Euro-2026 (U-19)

The 28 associations participating in the elite round will be distributed across four pots according to their qualification round results, based on their positions and statistics.

Winners of qualification round groups cannot face teams that secured second place in those same groups (thus, Ukraine won't play against Slovakia).

Each group will have one team from each seeding pot. Additionally, hosts for the mini-tournaments to be held in spring will be determined.

Seeding Pots

Pot 1: Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, England, Germany, Ukraine, Croatia. 

Pot 2: Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, France, Portugal, Romania, Denmark.

Pot 3: Finland, Belgium, Norway, Greece, Slovakia, Poland, Kazakhstan. 

Pot 4: Sweden, Serbia, Northern Ireland, Latvia, Hungary, Slovenia, Switzerland. 

The final tournament draw is scheduled for April 16, 2026.
