For Vladimir Pyatenko's wards, this was already their second October strength test. We remind you that a few days earlier, the Ukrainians managed to beat Slovakia with a score of 2:1.

The start of the game passed in an even battle: both teams acted cautiously, paying much attention to defense. The most dangerous moment in the first half was for Nastya Kozlova, but her shot from mid-range was parried by the goalkeeper of the Romanian team.

After halftime, the blue-and-yellow created several excellent moments. First, Ovdiychuk, taking advantage of a precise pass from Petrik, broke through one-on-one but her shot from an acute angle went straight to the goalkeeper. Soon after, Kozlova had another dangerous attempt — and once again, the Romanian team's goalkeeper was up to the task.

The Ukrainians capitalized on their advantage in the 80th minute. After a corner kick from the left flank, Kotic won aerially and headed the ball to Shmatko, who also headed it into the goal.

However, just three minutes later, the Romanians equalized. After a flank pass from Marcu, she played it on and scored precisely with her head — 1:1. This score remained until the final whistle.
