However, the hosts quickly restored balance. Midway through the period, captain of Slovakia Mikoľáňová, finding no resistance, took a shot from outside the penalty area — the ball flew into the top corner of the goal.

The Ukrainians actively used the time before halftime, creating several sharp moments and forcing their opponents to make mistakes again. On the 38th minute, our team's most active player Kozlova took the initiative, while Voitkova, who tried to stop her, grabbed the attacker by the hands and received a penalty. The violation occurred one meter from the penalty area. Experienced Basanska executed the standard flawlessly — the ball flew over the wall straight into the corner that Tot did not control.
