The head coach of Ukraine's under-19 futsal team, Igor Moskovichov, commented on his team's match against Spain in the semi-finals of Euro-2025 (U-19).

As a reminder, in the 1/2 final match of Euro-2025 (U-19) in futsal, Ukraine's youth team lost to Spain (4:7). The coach shared his impressions from the encounter.

"I congratulate the Spanish team on their well-deserved victory. The Spaniards were faster, took advantage of our mistakes and scored goals. Ukraine has always been known for its ability to win individual battles, quick transitions from defense to attack, but today it was the opposite. We lost because we moved slower and made decisions more slowly," — Igor Moskovichov said.

Unfortunately, our team concluded their participation in Euro-2025 (U-19), marking the third consecutive tournament where they reached the semi-finals stage.

In the group round, Igor Moskovichov's wards first defeated Moldova (7:0), then lost to Portugal in the second round (0:4), and finally beat Italy in the third round (2:0). As a result, our team secured the second place in Group A and advanced to the semi-finals, where their opponent was the Spanish team.

The debut European Championship among juniors took place in 2019 in Rijeka, the second edition was held in 2022 in Jaén (initially planned for 2021 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), and the third one in 2023 in Poreč. The champions were teams from Spain (20192022) and Portugal (2023).

The Ukraine team participated in all three final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaliy Odegov's wards secured third place in the group stage, and in 2022 they stopped at the semi-finals stage. In 2023, Igor Moskovichov's team also reached the semi-final stage.
