After winning the first match against Moldova (7:0), Igor Moskvichov's team faced Portugal.

The first half began at a high pace with constant attacks. On the 4th minute, Rodrigo Monteyro opened the score by outplaying our goalkeeper who came far from his goal. Until halftime, opponents created at least ten dangerous moments near each other's goals but managed to score only once more — on the last seconds of the first half when Miguel Malhau doubled his team’s lead.

After halftime, Monteyro scored a brace on the 23rd minute and the final score was set at 4:0 with four minutes remaining in the game.

Thus, 0:4 — defeat for Ukraine's team. Portugal secured their place in the semifinals while our team’s fate will be decided on October 1st in the third round against Italy.
