“This is our final preparation stage before official matches. The team hasn't gathered for 15 months, since the final part of Euro-2024 (U-17). Of course, a lot has changed in youth football during this time. Some players who were then in the starting lineup no longer have game practice, others play rarely. But at the same time, new names have appeared. So we need to get acquainted with boys who are called up to this team for the first time and understand the level of players who have progressed quite well over this period, especially during matches against such strong opponents. And it's very important for the coaching staff to explain again the philosophy of the national team’s play and see how the players receive this information under pressure from teams like England, Netherlands, and Spain,” — noted our team's head coach Dmitry Mykhaylenko yesterday.
