In the 2025/2026 season for the first time in history, two Ukrainian teams represented Ukraine in the Women's Champions League — Poltava's "Vorskla" and Kharkiv's "Metalist 1925."

As a reminder, in the semifinals, "Vorskla" defeated Georgia's "Lanchkuti" (5-0), while "Metalist 1925" lost to Sweden's "Hammarby" (4-5).

Today, Poltava played the final against the hosts of Group 5 from "Gintra." Thanks to penalty goals by Radionova and Kalinina, the white-and-green team secured a victory — 2-0. Thus, "Vorskla" advanced to the third round of the Women's Champions League, whose draw will take place on August 31 in Nyon (start at 1:00 PM Kyiv time).

In turn, "Metalist 1925" played for third place against Dutch PSV. Already in the first half, Kharkiv's team conceded twice and could not recover — 0-2. This marked the end of Ukraine's participation in the tournament.
