We remind you that at the group stage, Yuri Klimenko's wards secured second place in Group B by defeating Italy (4:2) and conceding to Spain (2:4). This result ensured our girls' passage to the semifinals of the tournament, where they lost to Portugal (1:3).

Today, blue-and-yellow battled for third place against Poland. The first period started poorly for our girls. Already in the second minute, Alexandra Sudik put her team ahead. However, the Ukrainians did not falter and scored twice more before halftime. Goals were scored by Hanna Shulga and Iryna Bavzenuk.

In the second 12-minute period, the Poles scored twice against our goalkeeper, to which our team responded with a successful shot from Margarita Yurasova — 3:3.

In the third period, no goals were seen, and the match went into overtime. It also did not determine a winner, and the matter came down to a penalty shootout. In it, the Ukrainians proved stronger — 4:3.

Thus, the Ukrainian team secured third place overall in the EuroLeague-2025 Super Final.
