Stadiums and the start times for the team's spring friendlies against Iceland and Spain have become known in qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The stadiums and the dates of the April friendly matches for Ukraine's women's national team against Iceland and Spain in the qualification for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 have become known.

In April, Andrušak's wards will play two away matches. The first match Iceland vs Ukraine is scheduled for April 14 at the stadium «Laugardalsvöllur» in Reykjavík. The start time of the match is 20:30 Kyiv time.

The next match Spain vs Ukraine is planned for April 18. The game will take place in the Spanish city of Córdoba at the stadium «Nuevo Arcángel» and will start at 17:00 Kyiv time.

It is recalled that in Group A3 of the elite division, the teams compete with England, Spain, and Iceland.

The FIFA Council has approved that the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil will take place from June 24 to July 25. The 29 direct qualifiers out of 32 are distributed as follows:

  • Europe — 11;
  • Asia — 6;
  • Africa — 4;
  • CONCACAF — 4;
  • South America — 3 (Brazil qualifies automatically from this quota);
  • Oceania — 1.

The last three teams will be determined in a play-off involving 10 national teams. It consists of two stages with the following quotas:

  • Europe — 1;
  • Asia — 2;
  • Africa — 2;
  • CONCACAF — 2;
  • South America — 2;
  • Oceania — 1.

The first stage of the play-off tournament will take place in October–December 2026, and the second one in February 2027.

European qualification for the 2027 WC

The European qualifying will take place in three stages. The group round matches will be played on March 3 and 7, April 14 and 18, June 5 and 9, 2026, in three leagues — A (16 teams), B (16) and C (21).

The starting position of each team in the leagues is determined based on the results of Nations League 2025. Ukraine will play in League A.

The top four teams from Group A of the League will qualify directly for the 2027 WC.

The remaining places will be distributed in the play-off rounds in October–December 2026. In the first round, teams that occupy second and third place in League A will play against winners of six groups from League C and best teams that occupy there second place. Eight winners advance to the next round.

The last four teams from League A and four winners from Group B will play against third and other teams from Group B respectively. Eight winners advance to the next round.

In the second round, 16 teams will meet in eight pairs. Seven best winners qualify for the World Cup, while the eighth has to participate in an intercontinental play-off.
