"Inclusive Football Sections" in Poltava

The current cycle of the «Inclusive Football Sections» project of the Ukrainian Football Association, implemented in Poltava at the special school No. 40, has been completed.

The cycle of the «Inclusive Football Sections» project of the Ukrainian Football Association, implemented in Poltava at the special school No. 40, has come to an end. Children with reduced vision participated in the groups. The project was led by Dmitry Fomenko.

«I am inspired by the children's desire to join the section and grow in the football field», — shared his impressions Dmitry Fomenko.

Volunteer of the project Roman Reva also shared: «With the equipment provided by the Ukrainian Football Association within the framework of the project, during training we conduct various exercises, active games, and relay races with football elements for children with visual impairments».

The main goals of the Ukrainian Football Association «Inclusive Football Sections» project:

— to improve the psychological and physical state of children with disabilities and special educational needs through their involvement in the project activities and socialization;

— to change public perception in Ukraine towards people with disabilities and children with special educational needs for the better;

— to provide access to inclusive sports training;

— to reveal children's potential;

— to unite children and adults, regardless of physical or mental development peculiarities;

— to provide motivation in mass football for all children, regardless of abilities, gender, social problems.

Thanks to the Ukrainian Football Association, sections are equipped with children's football uniforms, balls, and necessary sports equipment and gear.
