The first half went in favor of the yellow and blue team. Adam Guaram stood out for his activity in their lineup, twice forcing the Greek goalkeeper to demonstrate his skills with shots from acute angles. However, towards the end of the half, he proved powerless – Guaram headed in a corner kick to make it 1:0.

At the start of the second half, Ukrainians capitalized on another set piece opportunity: after a corner kick was headed into their own net by a Greek defender. A few minutes later, Shukalovich scored from distance to put the result beyond doubt – 3:0.

In the 79th minute, Greeks converted a penalty to level the score at 3:1. The Ukrainian U-17 team started the tournament with a victory.

The next match under Oleksandr Sytnyk’s tutelage will be on February 13 against Israel (start time – around 16:00).
