The term of the professional's contract expired at the end of 2025, and due to personal reasons, Volodymyr Mykolaiovych could not continue working.
At the UAF Executive Committee meeting, Yuriy Andrushak was appointed as the new head coach of the blue-and-yellow team — a former footballer and midfielder who played for the national women's team in 58 matches (2 goals).
The 38-year-old specialist previously managed the youth team "Vorskla" U-19 (2023–2024), becoming the first woman coach to lead a male team in Ukraine. In 2025, she became the head coach of Vorskla's women's club.
It is recalled that Ukraine's women's national team will participate in the UEFA Women's Euro 2027, which will be a qualifying tournament for the 2027 World Cup. According to the draw results, the blue-and-yellow team will compete in Group 3 of League A alongside teams from Spain, England, and Iceland.
Our girls will start their campaign on March 3rd with a match against England, and on March 7th they will play against Spain. With the support of the Turkish Football Federation and in agreement with UEFA, these matches will take place in Antalya at the "Maradana" stadium.

The European qualification will take place in three stages. The group stage matches will be held on March 3rd and 7th, April 14th and 18th, June 5th and 9th, 2026, in Leagues A (16 teams), B (16), and C (21).
The initial position of each team in the leagues is determined based on the results of the Nations League 2025. Ukraine will compete in League A.
The winners of four groups from League A will qualify directly for the 2027 World Cup.
The remaining places will be distributed through play-off rounds in October–December 2026. In the first round, teams that finish second and third in League A will play against winners of six groups from League C and the best teams that finished second there. Eight winners will advance to the next round.
The eight last places in League A and four winners from Group B will compete against third and fourth-placed teams from Group B respectively. Eight winners will advance to the next round.
In the second round, 16 teams will meet in eight pairs. Seven best winners will qualify for the World Cup, while the eighth will have to participate in an intercontinental play-off.
It is recalled that the FIFA Council approved that the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil will take place from June 24 to July 25. The 29 direct qualifiers out of 32 will be distributed as follows:
