Armenia — one of the three debutant teams in this tournament and the only one to qualify by surprisingly beating Kazakhstan. The match will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania at the "Žalgiris Arena" and will start at 17:00 Kyiv time. The game will be live on MEGOGO.

"Unfortunately, for this European Championship, we won't have Rostislav Semenchenko and Andriy Melnyk's help. It is very sad because they are our key players. We counted on them but will try to find worthy replacements. Meanwhile, Petro Shoturma, the team captain, has finally returned to the Ukrainian national team. He is gaining form with each game, considering he had a serious injury. With his experience and skill, I hope he will reach his peak exactly for this European Championship.

Despite the fact that our opponents — Armenia, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic — are ranked lower than us in the ratings, the coaching staff will do everything to avoid any underestimation. We have already spoken with the players — they are professionals who have proven it multiple times. The opponents are tough and uncompromising, and we will do everything so that our boys are ready for real battles on the court.

As for the task facing the Ukrainian national team at Euro-2026, we aim to win every match. We feel confident in our strength, which is confirmed by the recent matches we have played. Of course, there is some anxiety — without it, nowhere to go. The European Championship is held once every four years, and we understand that we must be ready precisely at this moment. We are looking forward to very interesting and tense matches," said the head coach of the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Kosenko.

It should be noted that before Euro, the Ukrainian national team conducted a five-day training camp in Polish Peremyshl, then headed for Slovenia. There, in Vrgnik city, under the blue-yellow flag awaited the final stage of preparation for the European Championship — one training day and a friendly match with the local team, another participant of the final tournament. The game ended with a Ukrainian victory with a score of 2:0 (Firstiev and Abakshin scored).
