The Ukrainian Football Association has launched a large-scale educational program in collaboration with regional associations — a series of seminars titled "Philosophy and Methodology of the Manchester City Academy."
The project aims to provide Ukrainian coaches access to contemporary approaches that underpin the work of one of the world's most progressive football academies.
Seminars will take place in each region of Ukraine. Coaches will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the principles of building a training process in club academies, receive practical tools for developing youth and girls' football at both local and national levels. To participate, simply contact your regional football association.

The seminar program is a continuation of the cooperation between UFA and "Manchester City," officially established in summer 2024. We remind you that in January this year, 20 Ukrainian coaches underwent training at the English club's facilities. The selection was open — any licensed coach with UEFA category C, B or A qualifications and experience working with children and youth teams could apply.
During the training, Ukrainian coaches had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Manchester City's philosophy: they visited the academy and first team training grounds, familiarized themselves with player development methodologies and the structure of the training process. Now experts are sharing this knowledge in Ukrainian regions.
A notable seminar took place in Dnipro. Coaches, organizers, and representatives of UFA focused not on a set of exercises but on the philosophy behind Manchester City's methodology. Participants noted that the seminar helped them view the process through experts' eyes rather than those of spectators.

"We want to convey to coaches an understanding of what a modern professional should be like: what their professional profile should look like, how they should approach children and work with them. One of the key principles of Manchester City's philosophy is the development of a footballer or football player. Development, not winning individual matches, is the main result."
The task of the coach is to create conditions in which a child can gradually grow and achieve high professional levels," — noted Bogdan Hordynyuk, member of the UFA Children's and Youth Football Committee.
"Some elements are still difficult for my players to execute, but this approach really works. It is truly great to have the opportunity to see, exchange experiences, adopt certain methods, and apply them in daily work," — emphasized one of the seminar participants, coach Volodymyr Pryzemlin.

The main conclusions that coaches took away:
It should be noted that these UFA seminars are not a one-off event but a systemic opportunity for coaches to improve their work quality from day one. The Ukrainian Football Association will continue the program so that contemporary methods are adopted in every region.
