The selection camp for the Ukraine U-15 national team (players born in 2011 or later) concluded in Kyiv, and head coach Volodymyr Samborsky summarized its outcomes.

"This was a selection camp that has never been seen before in the history of Ukraine's youth teams," said the coach. "We called up 33 players, three per position. The squad was divided into three teams, and a mini-tournament took place. The goal of this review was to assess the level of the footballers and see how they adapt to the demands of the coaching staff. There were no practical training sessions; instead, there were theoretical sessions where we asked players to show their best while trying to relieve them of psychological stress, as many were very anxious."

We asked the boys to give it their all, although, of course, it was difficult to expect high-quality football in sparring matches, considering this was just an introduction and that players came from different teams and had never worked together before.

It's important that we were able to see the footballers up close, communicate with them, which is invaluable. And a big thank you goes to the UAF leadership for organizing such a beneficial camp, as some players performed well enough to be called up for the December camp, which will start on the 13th and during which our team will participate in an international tournament.
