The winner of the second cycle in women's Nations League history has been determined. As in the inaugural tournament, the champion is Spain, which will face Ukraine in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.

In the semifinals, Spain defeated Sweden (4-0, 1-0), and Germany advanced past France (1-0, 2-2). In the decisive match, Spain overcame Germany (0-0, 3-0), while in the bronze medal game, France beat Sweden (2:1, 2:2).

Recall that the Ukrainian team in the Nations League-2025 secured first place in Group B of the League C (ahead of Czech Republic, Albania and Croatia) and will participate in the next cycle, which is a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup, in League A where their opponents will be Spain, England and Iceland.

Group 4: Belgium, Scotland, Israel, Luxembourg.                

League C

The European qualifiers will take place in three stages. Group stage matches will be held on March 3 and 7, April 14 and 18, and June 5 and 9, 2026 in three leagues — A (16 teams), B (16) and C (21).

The starting position of each team in the leagues is determined based on the results of the Nations League-2025. Ukraine will compete in League A.

The winners of four groups in League A qualify directly for the 2027 World Cup. 

Remaining spots will be contested in playoff rounds in October—December 2026. In the first round, teams finishing second and third in League A will play against winners of six groups from League C as well as best runners-up from there. Eight winners advance to the second round.

The bottom four teams from League A and top four group winners from League B will face off against second and third place finishers in League B, respectively. Eight winners advance to the second round.

In the second round, 16 teams meet in eight pairs. Seven best winners qualify for the World Cup, while eighth must participate in a continental playoff.
