Today, December 2 in the Romanian city of Buftea, the Ukrainian women's national team played their third and decisive match of the first qualifying round for Euro-2026 (WU-17) — against Romania.

In the first game of the tournament, the players coached by Lyudmila Lemeshko lost to Switzerland (0:1), and in the second one — to Austria (0:4). Today, they faced Romania. For Ukraine's team to remain in Group A6, a win was necessary.

And our national team took the lead on the 75th minute thanks to Karina Lespuk’s efforts. However, the opponents equalized at the 85th minute, and Iris Krischan's goal turned out to be decisive for determining the group's bottom team.

Unfortunately, blue-and-yellow ended up in Group B, thereby losing their chance to play in Euro-2026 (WU-17).
