Within the framework of a decision adopted at the meeting of the Assembly of Regions of the Ukrainian Football Association, each region is to receive modern artificial turf for football pitches. The initiative aims to support the development of children's and youth football and create appropriate conditions for sports activities throughout Ukraine even during wartime.

One example of implementing this program is the opening of a new artificial turf football pitch in Veliky Bereznyi, Zakarpattia. The project was implemented thanks to joint efforts by the Ukrainian Football Association, the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, the Velikobereznyanska territorial community, and benefactors.

The opening of the sports facility took place after the XI Children's and Youth Tournament in memory of Vasyl Kevpanich, which was attended by teams from 5-9th grade students from six educational institutions in the Velikobereznyanska district.

In the festive ceremony, the head of the Velikobereznyanska territorial community, Bohdan Kirlyk, the chairman of the Zakarpattia Football Association, Ivan Duran, a member of the ZAF Executive Committee Stepan Selmenetskyi, deputy chairman of the Uzhhorod Football Association Ivan Mastyak, coaches, benefactors, and representatives of the community participated.

The Zakarpattia Football Association honored Ivan Mastyak, Ivan Mytsio, Viktor Shevchenko, Petr Mogilevych, and Ivan Rogach with awards for their contribution to the development of football.

The tournament was won by the Velikobereznyanska Lyceum team, second place went to the "Erudit" lyceum, and third place to the Kostynivskyi lyceum. The best players were recognized as Mykhailo Khanahan, Maksym Korbutyak, Oleksandr Chumu, Oleksandr Ilkiv, and Oleksandr Shutanych.

All teams received diplomas, medals, cups, and footballs. After the ceremony, participants and guests had an opportunity to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere.
