The sports event took place at six locations:

— football pitches for games and various playful and technical activities;

— a safety area run by the State Emergency Service, where students learned about behavior rules with explosive items;

— an area with a psychologist who taught children emotional resilience and communication.

The event concluded with the ceremonial awarding of diplomas, commemorative t-shirts, and gifts to participants.

The event was made possible thanks to the community's participation in the "Open Football Festivals" project, which is implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association in partnership with Ukraine's Ministry of Education and Science.

In August, the community's coaches participated in a seminar organized by the UFA, acquiring the necessary knowledge and practical skills to conduct such events.

The Ukrainian Football Association project "Open Football Festivals" is:

  • youth leadership in communities;
  • psychosocial support for children of ZSU military personnel, IDPs, and war-affected children;
  • unity and friendship between IDP children and local children, social integration;
  • an inclusive environment where everyone participates, including children with special educational needs;
  • safety knowledge in wartime conditions;
  • the philosophy of mass football — joy from playing instead of results at any cost;
  • cultivation of a healthy lifestyle;
  • volunteer development;
  • activation of local communities through cross-sectoral networks (youth leaders, teachers, coaches, psychologists, safety experts, parents, local authorities, benefactors, etc.).
