On November 4, the draw for the next cycle of the women's Nations League will take place, which will serve as a qualifier in the UEFA zone for the 2027 World Cup.

November 4 will see the draw for the next Women's Nations League cycle, which will serve as a qualifier in UEFA's zone for the 2027 World Cup. The ceremony starts at 14:00 Kyiv time.

We remind you that the FIFA Council has approved that the women’s World Cup in Brazil in 2027 will take place from June 24 to July 25. 29 direct spots out of 32 will be distributed as follows:

  • Europe — 11;
  • Asia — 6;
  • Africa — 4;
  • CONCACAF — 4;
  • South America — 3 (Brazil qualifies automatically from this quota);
  • Oceania — 1.

The last three teams will be determined in a playoff tournament involving ten national teams. It will consist of two stages with the following quotas:

  • Europe — 1;
  • Asia — 2;
  • Africa — 2;
  • CONCACAF — 2;
  • South America — 2;
  • Oceania — 1.

The first stage of the playoff tournament will take place in November-December 2026, and the second one — in February 2027.

European Qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup

The European qualification will take place over three stages. Group round matches will be held on March 3 and 7, April 14 and 18, June 5 and 9, 2026 in three leagues — A (16 teams), B (16) and C (21).

The starting position of each team in the leagues is determined based on the results of the Nations League-2025. Ukraine will participate in League A.

Seeding of Teams in League A for the 2027 World Cup Qualifiers

Pot 1: France, Germany, Spain, Sweden.

Pot 2: Netherlands, England, Italy, Norway.

Pot 3: Denmark, Austria, Iceland, Poland.

Pot 4: Slovenia, Serbia, Ukraine, Ireland.

The winners of the four groups in League A will qualify directly for the 2027 World Cup. 

Remaining spots will be contested in playoff rounds in October-December 2026. In the first round, teams that finish second and third in League A will play against winners of six groups from League C and best runners-up there. Eight winners advance to the second round.

The bottom four teams from League A and four group winners from League B will face off against second and third place teams from League B respectively. Eight winners advance to the second round.

In the second round, 16 teams will meet in eight pairs. Seven best winners qualify for the World Cup, while the eighth one will have to participate in a continental playoff.
