As previously reported, with the support of the Ukrainian Football Association, 42 young football players from Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions are participating in an international youth camp taking place in Spain. The program is organized jointly with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

On October 11, within this program, the children became honored guests at a World Cup 2026 qualifier match between Spain and Georgia (2:0) held in Elche at the "Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero" stadium. Ukrainian boys participated in the pre-match ceremony.

Thanks to the support of the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Rafael Louzano, and the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Shevchenko, camp participants have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of great football, visit open training sessions with the national team, the National Team Museum, and participate in educational and sports events jointly organized with local schoolchildren.

Earlier, Rafael Louzano himself, the head of the Valencian Community Football Federation Salvador Gomar, and representatives of UAF — Vice President Oleksandr Shevchenko and General Secretary Igor Gryshchenko — warmly welcomed Ukrainian children.

On October 15, young Ukrainians will visit a Euro 2027 (U-21) qualifier match between Spain and Finland in Castellón, and their stay in Spain will last until the 17th.

The Ukrainian Football Association expresses gratitude to the Royal Spanish Football Federation for supporting Ukrainian children, as well as to the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Mykolaiv Regional Football Associations — for their assistance in organizing young football players' participation in the program.

This initiative once again confirms that football is a powerful tool of peace, support, and unity, capable of bringing hope to those who need it most.
