Decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee regarding the disqualification of Ukraine U-20 national team player Hennadii Synchuk

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee considered the case of defensive midfielder of Ukraine's U-20 national team, Hennadii Synchuk, and issued the following decisions:

— player Hennadiy Synchuk has been found guilty of violating Article 13.1 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (adherence to FIFA regulations and principles of fair play, loyalty, and integrity) according to Point III.2.c of Circular No. 7 regarding the 2025 World Cup (U-20) in Chile. The violation pertains to the match between Ukraine — Paraguay, which took place on October 3, 2025;

— the player has been suspended for one match, which will be missed during the next official game of the Ukrainian U-20 team in the World Cup — against Spain (scheduled for October 7, 2025);

— additionally, a fine of CHF 1,500 has been imposed on the footballer. Synchuk was given 30 days from the date of notification of the decision to pay the fine. In case of non-compliance with this obligation within the specified period, additional sanctions may be applied by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.

The Ukrainian Football Association has opened an official investigation into this matter and will inform about the results after completing all relevant procedures.
