Today, September 6th, the Ukraine U-17 team will play their second match at an international tournament in Croatia. The opponent is Poland's U-18 team; kickoff is scheduled for 3 PM Kyiv time.

In their first game, Oleksandr Sitnik's wards lost to Qatar's U-18 team (1:2).

On December 5th in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the first round of qualification for Euro 2026 (U-17) took place. As a result, Ukraine's youth team was placed in Group 1 where they will face Italy, Montenegro and Estonia. The host of the mini-tournament is Estonia.

54 teams were divided into 12 groups of four participants and two groups of three participants. The host of the final tournament, Estonia's team, also participates in qualification.

The top 14 group winners and 14 second-place finishers will advance to the second round of Group A. The remaining 26 teams will participate in the second round of Group B.

Teams advancing to the second round of qualification in Group A will compete for seven spots at Euro 2026 (U-17) in spring 2026. Estonia, as host of the tournament, automatically receives a bye. It should be noted that this qualifying round is also the qualifying round for the CS-2026 (U-17) in Qatar.

Moreover, teams from both Group A and B will compete to improve or decrease their rankings before the first qualification round of Euro 2028 (U-19).
