Euro 2026 from Futsal. Ukraine's Team Started the Tournament with a Loss to Armenia
In the first match of the Euro-2026 final tournament, the Ukrainian national team lost to the Vilnius team at Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas.

The first half of the team under Alexander Kosenko played at an even level with their opponent who was making his debut in European championships. Despite Ukraine having nearly twice as many shots on goal (28:15), the number of shots on target was absolutely equal (5:5). At the same time, both teams' goalkeepers played exceptionally well, and the attackers clearly lacked accuracy.

However, in the second half, Ukraine finally managed to open the score. On the 26th minute, Vladislav Perevyev outplayed his opponent on the right flank, cut inside to the center and scored. Virmeny goalkeeper Albert Agadzhyanov could not help his team this time.

However, Ukraine's advantage did not last long. On the 30th minute, through a slight defensive lapse by Mihran Dermenjyan, he remained alone in front of our goal and equalized the score.

Moreover, Virmeny scored again before the final whistle. Dermenjyan completed his double. In the end, Ukraine's defeat was 1:2.
