Iceland national team head coach Arnar Gunnleifsson has announced the list of players called up for the November European World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Ukraine. 

For these matches, the Icelandic team manager is counting on 24 players.

Compared to the squad for the first match against Ukraine, which took place on October 10 in Reykjavik, Arnar Gunnleifsson has recalled defender Gylfi Magnusson from Greek "Levadiakos" and midfielder Johann Gudmundsson from UAE's "Al-Dhafra". Additionally, the Iceland national team manager has decided against the services of midfielder Torur Helgason from Italian "Lecce" and forward Sevar Magnusson from Norwegian "Bran."

Recall that the match in Group D of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers between Ukraine and Iceland will take place on November 16 in Warsaw at the "Legia" Stadium (kick-off time - 7 PM Kyiv time).
