Today, the Ukraine U21 national team played their third qualifying match for Euro 2027 (U-21) against Croatia.

The match took place in Varaždin at the eponymous stadium. In the first half, Unai Melgass's wards only defended and did not attempt a single shot on goal. On the other hand, Croatia had two clear chances to open the scoring. However, Andriano Jagušić’s shot hit the post, while Nazar Domchak saved Theo Barisic's powerful strike.

After halftime, the opponent’s advantage finally paid off. On the 53rd minute, after a penalty kick execution, Leon Grgec was first to react on the rebound. Only then did our team create its first dangerous moment. Artem Stepanov broke into the hosts' penalty area but his shot hit the post. Another chance was missed by Taras Mykhavko who headed from close range but the Croatian goalkeeper made a save.

The result was a defeat — 0:1. The team's next match in Euro 2027 (U-21) qualifying will be on November 14 against Turkey.
