Today, on October 7th, the Ukraine U-17 youth team will play their third and decisive match in the first round of qualification for the 2026 European Championship.

In the first round, our team drew with Montenegro (1:1) and then defeated Estonia (2:0). We remind you that to advance to Group A of the second round, it is necessary to secure either first or second place in the group. For this, the blue-and-yellow team needs a positive result in their third match — a win or a draw.

The match against Italy will take place in Tallinn and start at 15:30 Kyiv time. Live broadcast — on the YouTube channel of the UAF.

54 teams were divided into 12 groups of four participants each and two groups of three participants. The host of the final stage, Estonia's national team, also participates in the qualification.

Based on the results of the first round of selection, 14 group winners and 14 teams that secure second place will advance to Group A of the second round. The remaining 26 teams will participate in the second round in Group B.

Teams advancing to the second round of selection in Group A will compete for seven spots at the final stage of Euro-2026 (U-17) in spring 2026. Estonia, as the host nation, received an automatic berth. It should be noted that this qualifying round is also a qualification round for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Furthermore, teams from both groups of the second round selection will compete to move up and down between leagues before the first round of Euro-2028 (U-19) qualification.
