We remind you that in the group stage, Igor Mosyichov's wards first defeated Moldova (7:0), then lost to Portugal (0:4), and finally beat Italy (2:0). As a result, our team secured the second place in Group A and advanced to the semifinals, where their opponent was the Spanish team.

In the first half, the blue-and-yellow team quickly found themselves in a position of having to play catch-up. Pedro Altaba opened the scoring on the 3rd minute. However, Igor Mosyichov's wards seized control and equalized by the 14th minute, even taking the lead. Bogdan Tzap and Artem Klimchuk scored for them. Nevertheless, the Spaniards quickly regrouped and within two minutes were ahead again thanks to goals from Roger Garcia and Miguel Laos — 3:2.

After halftime, their opponents increased their intensity further, resulting in two more goals by Pablo Gutierrez and Nacho Olivares. On the 32nd minute, Oleksandr Shpak gave hope back to Ukrainian fans, but just two minutes later Unai Isquierdo restored a three-goal lead — 6:3. When Oleksandr Shpak scored an own goal on the 36th minute, it was clear what would happen next. Pedro Altaba put the final nail in the coffin with his second own goal of the match.

Thus, a loss by 4:7, and the Ukrainian team concluded their participation in Euro-2025 (U-19), finishing as semifinalists for the third consecutive tournament.
