Today, September 6th, the Ukraine U-19 national team (players born in or after 2007) played their second match at a tournament taking place during training camp in Spain.

In the debut game, coach Dmitro Mykhaylenko's squad lost to England (0:2). The next opponent was the Netherlands team, which also started with a loss to the hosts — Spain (0:1).

The score was opened in the 27th minute: Jim Coleer was first on the rebound after Makarenko's save. Near the end of the half, a penalty was awarded against Ukraine — Milokost attempted to take the ball away with a slide tackle but fouled. The kick from the spot proved successful and the Dutch doubled their lead. Two minutes later, Benjamin Negel sealed the score at 3:0 for his team.

In the break, the coaching staff of the blue-and-yellow made eight immediate substitutions. In the second half, Ukraine took control and on the 59th minute reduced the deficit: Oleksandr Kamensky crossed from the right flank, and Ivan Denysov outjumped everyone for a header.

Despite further activity and chances created in attack, Ukraine failed to score another goal. The final result was a loss with a score of 1:3.

The next match will be against the tournament hosts — Spain (kickoff at 11:30).
