Reminder, this tournament is considered a preparation stage for the Euro 2026 (U-17) qualification. All opponents of Ukraine are one year older. In their debut match, Alexander Sitnik's team narrowly lost to Qatar U-18 (1:2). The second opponent was Poland U-18, which started with a win over the UAE (U-18) — 4:0.

The score was opened near the end of the first half: Filip Skorb scored from a corner pass with a touch on the goal line.

During halftime, Ukraine's coaching staff made two substitutions. Three minutes after coming onto the field, Kirill Serdyuk equalized the score by heading in a cross from a corner kick. Almost immediately, Adam Gouram had an opportunity to put Ukraine ahead but shot over the bar.

On the 53rd minute, Poland took advantage of a defensive mistake and went back into the lead. However, once again, Ukraine's substitute paid off — Kirill Serdyuk scored his second goal with a header from a cross on the right flank. In the end, it was a draw — 2:2.

The third match of the tournament for Ukraine will be held on September 9 against the UAE U-18 (kickoff at 4 PM).
