Main coach of the Ukrainian women's futsal team Oleksandr Zolotukhin told the AFU press service about the training camp currently taking place in Uzhhorod, as well as shared expectations for friendly matches against France scheduled for February 17 and 18.

— At the previous camp held at the end of January in Chernihiv, we watched young girls, and some of them received a call-up now. Can we see them in friendly matches against France?

— Yes, we called a group of girls who performed well during the training camp in Chernihiv. We will include several of them in the friendly matches with France. With the right approach, they have every chance to become members of the first team in the future. And all young girls from the Ukrainian championship want to convey that doors to the national team are open for them. As they say, it's in their hands.

— How is the training camp in Uzhhorod going?

— At the training camp in Uzhhorod, we called girls from the Ukrainian championship and three foreigners – Kseniya Burlachenko, Hanna Kaverzina, and Yuliya Poberey. All other foreign players will join us in France. During the training process, we are trying to speed up the adaptation of young players to modern game requirements and familiarize them with the tactical schemes of the first team.

— The men's national team of France has demonstrated impressive progress over the last few years. Can we say the same about the women's national team?

— It is no secret that French futsal is developing. Perhaps, the progress of the women's team is not as noticeable as that of the men's, but in recent years it has achieved significant successes. We know that in France, a lot of effort is being put into the development of young players, they are trying to develop local championships among girls' clubs. In the future, this will be a very competitive national team.

It should be noted that friendly matches between Ukrainian and French women's teams are scheduled for February 17 and 18.
