During a meeting involving the Technical Director of UAFA Igor Dedishyn and the Head of the Women’s and Girls’ Football Committee of UAFA Anastasia Klipachenko, the results of the 2025 national teams work were reviewed, and a new coaching staff for the Ukrainian women's national team was presented, led by Iya Andrushak.

Igor Dedishyn welcomed all representatives and coaches of the women’s teams and noted:

“Together we are opening a new page in the development of the vertical structure of national women's teams. We hope to see systematic and quality work that will be built from the foundation of mass football through carefully planned scouting selection, up to girls' and youth teams, which will allow us to form a strong backbone for the main team of the country in the future.”

It should be noted that Iya Andrushak has significant experience both as a player and as a coach. She was an ambassador of the women's Champions League final in 2018, which took place in Kyiv. Over 11 years, Andrushak defended the colors of the Ukrainian national women's team at the half-back position, playing 58 matches and scoring two goals. Also, she became the first woman in Ukraine to lead a male football team — "Vorskla" U-19. Additionally, she underwent a stint within the Manchester City system as part of UAFA’s collaboration with an English club.

Anastasia Klipachenko shared her thoughts on Iya Andrushak's colossal experience and football management style:

“I am very impressed by her presentation, manner, and style at 'Vorskla.' Therefore, one can say that she is going for such an elevation — joining the women’s national team and will be able to realize her potential, experience, bring freshness, modernity, a new perspective, and inspiration to build a team for years.”

It was also announced who joined Iya Andrushak's coaching staff. They are:

Valeriy Krivtsenko (Assistant Coach) — ex-player of Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team. Worked in Shakhtar’s youth academy. Under his leadership, Shakhtar U-19 reached the final of UEFA Youth League in the 2014/2015 season. Also coached Illichivets, Metalist 1925, Zorya, and Bukovyna.

Andriy Dikan (Goalkeepers Coach) — ex-player of the Ukrainian national team. As a goalkeepers coach, he worked at Metalist and LNZ.

Yevhen Katchkalio (Analyst, Scout Coach) — this position is introduced for the first time in women's teams.

Victoria Petrykivich (Physical Preparation Coach) — has been working with the national Ukrainian team since 2016.

After the presentation, participants of the meeting separately congratulated Oleg Bortnik (WU-19), Lyudmila Lemyshko (WU-17), and Natalia Ignatovich (WU-15) — coaches of national teams in younger age categories on contract extensions.

At the meeting, a plan-calendar of the teams' activities for 2026 was presented and discussed, as well as issues and proposals from the coaches.

The main narrative of the new head coach of the Ukrainian women's national team is the interaction between coaching staffs of all age category teams and support not only in communication but also in the exchange of experience during the training process at camps.
