The cycle of lessons in one of the two UEFA Playmakers centers on Ternopil Oblast — in Zboriv. The project, from the Ukrainian Football Association and the Ternopil Oblast Football Association, is implemented at the local secondary school named after R. Zavadovych.

Coach of the project, Ihor Kozovik, notes: "It's very pleasant that this program helps to spark love for sports and directly for football among our children. Thanks to it, young female footballers find new friends. There is a noticeable progress in all children both physically and in technique and tactics of play. Thank you to the organizers, this is a very useful program, and we are glad to be able to participate in it."

Lyubov P., mother of a young footballer, says: "During the time my child has been practicing football under the UEFA Playmakers program, she has greatly developed her football skills and also found new friends with whom she spends time on the football field as well as beyond its boundaries. Thank you to the Ukrainian Football Association for providing our children with such a great program that they organized."

First deputy head of the Ternopil Oblast Football Association, Vasyl Zatorskyi, notes: "Last year, the UEFA Playmakers program expanded to two locations in our region. This project promotes the development of mass and girls' football, and we are very glad that thanks to Playmakers, a larger number of participants is being involved. I believe that in the future, some of them will become footballers and will represent the country on an international stage."

The goals of the UEFA Playmakers program, implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:

  • to familiarize girls with football, creating an environment focused on fun, friends, and football;
  • to introduce a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by Disney stories and characters) as a tool for training and acquiring game skills;
  • to improve life skills of girls, basic movement skills, and teach the fundamentals of football to foster lifelong love for the sport.
