In the last match of the 2025/2026 Champions League group stage, the Portugal-based «Benfica» received the Ukrainian national team players Anatoliy Trubin and Georgiy Sudakov. Both of our players started in the lineup, while Lunin remained on the bench. Sudakov was substituted at the 83rd minute, while Trubin played the full match and became its hero. It was his header goal scored in the 90+8th minute that gave «The Eagles» a 4:2 victory, which was enough for the team to qualify for the Champions League play-offs from the last (24th) position in the overall group standings.
