Today, on January 26 in Turkey, the Ukrainian U-16 youth team (players born in 2010) played their first match within an international friendly tournament. Their opponent was the Czech team.

The score was opened already in the 2nd minute of the game. Dzyrinets broke away from the defense on the right flank and executed a cross into the penalty area. Misura's first shot was blocked by defenders, but on the rebound Maxim was accurate. Czechs replied in the middle of the half, taking advantage of a corner: after a corner kick was played out, Cimpol headed the ball from the near post to the far post and it went into the net — 1:1.

Attacks by Ukraine were mostly built through the right flank, where Dzyrinets particularly stood out. It was from there that the second goal came. After a corner kick was played out by Gordyev, he passed through the wall with a teammate and executed a high ball into the penalty area. Novotny, fighting on the second tier, cut the ball into his own net.

At the beginning of the second half, blue-yellow secured their advantage. Gordyev made an accurate pass through to Fedushka, who, settling from the left in the center along the penalty area, elegantly curled the ball into the far corner — 3:1.

Despite attempts by the opponents to fight back (especially dangerous were their corners), this score remained until the final whistle. The wards of Volodymyr Samborsky started their tournament in Turkey with a confident victory.

The Ukrainian U-16 youth team will play their next match on January 28 against the host — the Czech Republic national team. Kick-off is at 14:00.
