The national team’s year will begin in February 2026, with the draw for a new cycle of Nations League, and on the pitch — in March, when they play in the World Cup qualifying playoff.

CS-2026

The potential two playoff matches for CS-2026 qualification will be held by the national team of Ukraine in Valencia, Spain, at the «Estadio Ciutat de València», which is the home ground of local football club «Levante» and can accommodate 26,354 spectators on its stands.

Reminder, in December, the Executive Committee of UAF made a decision. Several potential options were considered in different countries. But the chosen stadium was optimal from the perspective of the national team of Ukraine's interests.

On March 26th, in the semi-final of Path W, the team under Sergiy Rebrov will face Sweden here, and if they win, on April 30th, in the final, at this same venue, they will play against the winner of the Poland-Albania pair. The start time is 21:45 Kyiv time.

We should add that the winner of Path W in the final tournament of CS-2026 will participate in group F, where they will play three matches: June 15th — in Monterrey against Tunisia, June 20th — in Houston against the Netherlands, and June 26th — in Dallas against Japan.

Nations League-2026/2027

The draw for the group stage of the next cycle of Nations League, 2026/2027, will take place on February 12th in Brussels. On that very day, Ukraine’s opponents will be revealed, which will play in League V.

League V

Pool 1: Scotland, Hungary, Poland, Israel.

Pool 2: Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Ukraine.

Pool 3: Slovenia, Georgia, Ireland, Romania.

Pool 4: Sweden, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Kosovo.

Schedule

1st round: September 24-26, 2026.

2nd round: September 27-30, 2026.

3rd round: October 30, 2026 — September 3, 2026.

4th round: October 4-6, 2026.

5th round: November 12-14, 2026.

6th round: November 15-17, 2026.

Play-off: March 25-30, 2027.

The participant of the group stage in League V, where Ukraine will play, if they finish:

• first place — will rise to League A;
• second place — will play against-off matches with a team that finishes third in Group A of League A;
• third place — will play against-off matches with a team that finishes second in Group C of League C;
• fourth place — will drop down to League C.

Euro-2028

The national team of Ukraine will learn the names of their opponents during the draw for the qualifying tournament, which will take place on December 6th in Belfast (Northern Ireland).

12 qualifying groups with four or five teams will be formed. The hosts of the tournament (England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales), seeded in different groups, will also participate in the qualification process.

The 12 winners of the groups and eight best teams that finish second will qualify directly to the final tournament of Euro-2028. Two places in the final tournament will be reserved for two host countries with the highest ranking, which do not qualify as group winners or best teams that finish second after the completion of the qualifying group stage.

The remaining places will be distributed through play-off matches between teams that finish second in qualifying groups and winners of League V of Nations League-2026/2027, which did not qualify for Euro-2028. The qualification for the continental championship will begin already in March 2027.
