In Sloviansk, the XVII annual conference of the civic community 'Association of Football of Donetsk Oblast' took place.

This year's conference was particularly special as it was held for the first time in the Donetskyi Oblast territory since the full-scale war began. The conference participants included the First Vice President of the Ukrainian Football Association Artem Stoyanov and the General Secretary of UAF Ihor Gryshchenko.

During the conference, a number of important decisions were made, including:

— suspending membership of individuals who do not fulfill their duties due to military actions;

— changing the numerical and personal composition of the executive committee of AFDOD;

— appointing Oleg Zubarev as the First Deputy Head of AFDOD.

In addition, the management bodies of the Association of Football of Donetsk Oblast reported on their activities in 2025.

Summarizing the visit to Donetske, the First Vice President of UAF Artem Stoyanov emphasized the importance of preserving and developing football in the region even under difficult war conditions:

«Today, 1,900 people actively engage in football in the region, 12 teams represent the area in official competitions, and 30 coaches work full-time. And you will be surprised, but these are all the numbers for the Association of Football of Donetsk Oblast. For a region that has been partially occupied since 2014 and is constantly subjected to enemy attacks. But despite everything, there is football here.»

Conditions are tough, but the association continues its work. I wish all employees of AFDOD under the protection of Ukraine's Defense Forces to continue living and guarding football».

During the visit of the management of the Ukrainian Football Association to Donetske, an informative tour was also conducted at the 'Avangard' stadium in Kramatorsk and the court arena and stadium named after Y. P. Skidanov in Sloviansk.
