Today, on December 12, the qualification draw for the Women's European Futsal Championship will take place here. The championship will be held in March 2027. The ceremony starts at 14:30 Kyiv time.

We remind you that the Women's Euro-2027 will take place in a new format. Eight teams, not four as before, will participate in the final tournament.

The qualification consists of three stages: the main round, the elite round, and the play-off matches. Croatia will host the Euro-2027 and will receive a direct entry to the final stage. The final phase will take place in Osijek, at the multi-functional stadium «Arena Gradski Vrt».

Twelve teams will start from the main round, eleven of them, including Ukraine, from the elite round. Six national teams will advance to the final tournament from the elite round, another spot will be decided in the play-off matches.

Women's Euro-2027 Futsal Calendar

Qualification draw: December 12, 2025.

Main round: March 17—22, 2026.

Elite round: October 6—11, 2026.

Play-off matches: November 12—26, 2026.

Final stage draw: date and time will be announced later.

Final tournament (Osijek, Croatia): March 14—21, 2027.

Format of the Women's Euro-2027 Futsal

Qualification

Main round

Participants will play in mini-tournaments on one arena in groups of four teams. Winners of three groups and two best second-place finishers advance to the elite round.

Elite round

Winners of the main round will join 11 teams that have direct entries to the elite round. Ukraine, along with Spain, Portugal and Hungary, is in the first pot before the draw. The second pot includes Italy, Poland, Finland and Sweden, while the third and fourth pots are formed by the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia and best representatives from the main round.

Sixteen teams will be divided into four groups of four. Matches in each group will take place in mini-tournaments on one arena. Four winners and two best second-place finishers from the groups qualify for the final tournament. The remaining two second-place finishers play off.

Play-off matches

The last participant of the final tournament will be determined in two play-off matches. The team with the worst record from the second place finishers in the elite round plays the first match at home.

Final tournament

Croatia and seven teams that qualify through the qualification will be divided into two groups of four. Two best teams from each group advance to the semi-finals.
