Euro 2027 (U-19): schedule before the draw for the first qualifying round with Ukraine's youth national team

On Wednesday, December 10 at 10:00 AM Kyiv time, the draw for the first qualifying round of the UEFA European Championship-2026/2027 (U-19) will take place. The Ukrainian youth team (currently U-18, players born in 2008) will learn their opponents.

The draw will form groups in Leagues A and B. Matches of the first round will take place from March 23 to 31, 2026, the second round will be held in autumn of the same year, and in spring 2027 — the third round, and in summer 2027 — the final tournament in the Czech Republic.

In the first round, 54 teams will participate, including the Czech Republic.  They will be divided into leagues as follows.

League A: seven groups of four teams each.

League B: five groups of four teams and two groups of three teams.

The leagues were formed based on the results of the national teams' performances at Euro-2025 (U-17). Ukraine then secured third place in its group in the elite round and retained its spot in League A.

Pot 1: France, England, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium.

Pot 2: Ireland, Croatia, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Finland.

Pot 3: Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, Israel, Greece, Hungary, Poland.

Pot 4: Denmark, Netherlands, Turkey, Iceland, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, Norway.

League B

Pot 1: Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Bulgaria, Scotland, Wales, Cyprus.

Pot 2: Belarus, Albania, Montenegro, Romania, Lithuania, Kosovo, Faroe Islands.

Pot 3: Andorra, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Georgia, Armenia.

Pot 4: Moldova, Malta, San Marino, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein.

Qualification to the second round

After completing the first round, teams progress as follows:

  • teams finishing first, second and third in League A remain in League A for the second round;
  • teams finishing fourth in League A move to League B for the second round;
  • winners of groups in League B advance to League A for the second round;
  • teams finishing second, third and fourth in League B remain in League B for the second round.

Teams that played each other in the first round will not face each other again in the second round.
