Today in the Spanish city of Palma de Mallorca, Kyiv's HIT faced the Spanish "Palma" in a Champions League round-of-16 match for the 2025/2026 season.

The players of Sergiy Zhurbia in the first game in Hungarian Berettyóújfalu drew with their opponent (2:2). Today's match started under a real storm of attacks from the Spaniards. Our goalkeeper Oleksandr Sukhov worked at maximum tension and several times made brilliant saves. However, on the 8th minute he was powerless. After a vertical pass by Cavalcantri Rivillos, he put the ball in our team’s goal.

After halftime, a terrible mistake by Andriy Melnyk at the 24th minute led to Rivillos scoring an empty net against the blue and yellow. Only after this did the Ukrainians toughen up and create several dangerous moments near their opponent's goal. On the 30th minute, Yevhen Zhuk took advantage of a pass from his teammate and reduced the score.

However, the Spaniards scored twice more in the second half through efforts by Alisson and Ernesto. The Kyivans managed to respond only with one goal from Yevhen Zhuk.  Therefore, in summary, HIT suffered a defeat — 2:4.

Thus, "Palma" advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the 2025/2026 season, while HIT concluded their tournament participation this season.
