Today, November 26, in the city of Bileća, Ukraine's women's youth national team played their opening match in the first round of qualification for Euro-2026 (WU-19). The opponent was the host nation's team — Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first half saw an advantage for Ukraine. Our footballers capitalized on their chances to score in the 23rd minute. After a set piece near their own half and quick combination play, Gladun passed to Marczynuk, who then delivered a powerful shot into the far corner — 1:0.

Before halftime, Ukraine's players had opportunities to extend their lead. Osadchyy's shot from outside the penalty area hit the crossbar. Mihail immediately followed up with two chances: first, her shot was parried by the goalkeeper into the near corner, but a minute later, after Anastasiya's strike, the ball did indeed cross the line, though the goal was disallowed for an attacking foul.

After halftime, Bosnia and Herzegovina tried to change the course of the game: they increased their pace and became more aggressive in challenging. On the 67th minute, Aljčković found herself in a shooting position and sent the ball past our goalkeeper, but Ukraine's defense held firm. The blue-and-yellow team withstood the pressure and on the 77th minute scored a decisive counterattack goal. Marczynuk set up Holovanchuk for a one-on-one with the goalkeeper, who calmly converted the opportunity. 2:0 — Ukraine confidently started their Euro-2026 (WU-19) qualification.

The next match will be on November 29 against San Marino's national team (kickoff at 14:00 Kyiv time).

It should also be noted that in another group match, Romania defeated San Marino — 6:0.
