Today, on November 26 in the city of Bileća, the Ukrainian women's youth national team will play its opening match in the first round of qualification for Euro-2026 (WU-19).The opponents of the blue and yellow team will be the hosts' team (match start at 14:00 Kyiv time).

"Before leaving for the Balkans, we conducted a short training camp in Uzhhorod. Almost all players who were already training under my leadership at the camp in Trostyanets in late August were called up. Among them are three foreign-based players. Unfortunately, injured players Anastasiia Tarasenko from 'Ladomir' and Anastasiia Zhigadlo from 'Kryvbas,' on whom I was heavily relying, — said head coach of the Ukraine WU-19 team Oleh Bortnyk. — By the way, in determining potential candidates for travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina, playing experience was a priority. That's why there are more representatives from 'Ladomir' in the squad than any other club.

If we talk about opponents, I only have video recordings of recent friendly matches between Romanians and Swedes at my disposal. Our geographical neighbors made quite a good impression. We will get to know the other group tournament participants directly during the matches. The seriousness of the hosts' intentions is evidenced by the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the Euro in this age category next summer."
