In October, during the game against Iceland (5:3) in Reykjavik within the qualification for the 2026 World Cup, Volodymyr Velentey, a midfielder from Polissya Zhytomyr, made his debut for the national team of Ukraine by replacing his teammate Oleksiy Hutsulak at the 87th minute.

So as of now, under Serhiy Rebrov's leadership, a total of 17 football players have debuted in the national team of Ukraine.
