In the second match at the 2025 World Championship in Chile, Ukraine's U-20 national team drew with Panama (1:1).

After the game, players of the blue-and-yellow team Danylo Krevsun and Oleksandr Pyschur shared their emotions with the press service of the UAF.

Danylo Krevsun (defender): "I believe we should have won this match. But the game did not go as well as it could have. There were many unnecessary ball losses and a lot of chaos. We needed to act more calmly in certain moments and capitalize on our chances. Of course, we are all disappointed, but there is another match ahead. Starting tomorrow, we will focus on that and prepare for it. Nothing terrible has happened.

The game against South Korea was harder because their team dominated in the second half. In the match with Panama, we had more possession of the ball and fought one-on-one across the field. We needed to play through the wings more often, but that didn't always work out. As for the upcoming match, it doesn't make sense to count points now—we just need to come out and win."

Oleksandr Pyschur (forward): "It was a very tough game—both personally for me and for all the boys. A difficult opponent. We had more possession of the ball, but in the final phase of attack, we lacked some finesse. We should have gotten more out of this match than 1:1, but nothing terrible happened. There's no time to think about it—we're moving forward. We need to focus on the next game, and hopefully everything will go as we want.

When I won a penalty kick, my first thought was that I would take it myself. Then we started discussing it, and in the end, I did take it. I didn't score, but the referee noted that the goalkeeper moved early. We had to retake it, but Gennadiy Synchuk approached me and said he wanted to try. I told him to go ahead because my main goal was to win the match; who scores doesn't matter."

Synchuk will miss the next game due to yellow card accumulation. He is a dynamic player whom we will really miss. But that's how it goes—we have many good penalty takers."
